Payment/Monetary Policy

Effective Date: 1st August,2025
This Payment Policy governs payments for all services offered by The Event House (TEH), including weddings, corporate events, social celebrations, and private gatherings. By making a payment, you agree to abide by the terms below. This policy is designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and smooth financial transactions for our clients.
1. Booking and Payment Schedule (Full Event Management)
For full event planning, coordination, and management services:
  • 50% Advance Payment:
    • This includes our planning fee and
    • Any vendor charges booked and coordinated through TEH
      must be paid in full at the time of booking.
      Work on your event begins only after full payment has been received.
  • Third-party vendors booked directly by you (outside TEH): Payment terms for those vendors remain your responsibility and are not governed by TEH.
2. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment modes:
  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, etc.)
  • Debit/Credit Cards (via secure payment gateway such as Razorpay)
  • Net Banking
  • Direct Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS)
  • International Clients: We also support PayPal upon prior request (PayPal charges may apply).
Razorpay does not include PayPal by default; hence, PayPal arrangements are made separately for overseas clients.
3. One-Time Consultation / Venue Match Fees
For clients who opt for consultation-only services (advice, event strategy, or venue matchmaking without full event management), a one-time consultation fee is charged.
  • These charges are payable upfront.
  • Consultation/venue matchmaking fees are non-refundable regardless of whether you proceed with a full-service booking.
4. Venue Match Consultation Services
Venue Match is a separate service for venue discovery and shortlisting, billed upfront and independently from full event planning.
Packages
  • Lite (₹999 / Limited Offer ₹799):
    3 venue suggestions + 20-minute consultation call
  • Classic (₹4,999 / Limited Offer ₹3,999):
    5–7 venue options, availability check, expert guidance, and 1 site coordination visit
  • Premium (₹9,999 / Limited Offer ₹7,999):
    All Classic benefits + virtual walkthrough + custom venue moodboard
Payment & Refunds:
  • 50% payment is required in advance.
  • Venue Match consultation charges are non-refundable irrespective of whether you book a venue with TEH afterwards.
If you later upgrade from a Venue Match package to a full-service planning package, TEH may offer an adjustment or discount on the final full-service fee at its discretion.
 
5. Non-Refundable Booking Advance
The booking advance of 30% is strictly non-refundable.
  • It secures your date and allows us to decline other bookings.
  • Planning and initial work begin immediately upon receiving this amount.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Client Cancellations
  • More than 60 days before the event:
    • 50% of the total contracted amount is refundable.
    • Booking advance (30%) is always non-refundable; however, the next installment (if paid) will be refunded up to 50% of the total event fee.
  • 60 days or less before the event:
    • No refunds. All paid amounts are forfeited because filling those dates at short notice is extremely difficult.
    • At TEH’s sole discretion, a credit note of up to 30% of the total contract value may be issued, which can be used towards a future event with us within 12 months.
TEH Cancellations
In the rare case that TEH cancels due to internal reasons:
  • 100% of all amounts received, including the booking advance, will be refunded, or
  • You may choose to reschedule or receive a service credit.
 
7. Force Majeure
TEH shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform due to Force Majeure events such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our control.
In such cases, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule your event or apply payments as credit. If rescheduling is not possible, refunds will be made at TEH’s discretion after deducting non-recoverable costs.
8. Taxes and Third-Party Costs
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST) unless explicitly stated.
  • Third-party vendor costs (venues, catering, décor, etc.) are not included in TEH’s management fee. These are billed separately and must be paid directly by the client unless otherwise agreed.
  • For out-of-town events, travel, lodging, and per diem expenses for our team are billed separately.
9. Dispute Resolution
This Payment Policy and any disputes related to it shall be governed by Indian law, with exclusive jurisdiction in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
